My name is Kaitlyn and I am 25 years old.Ê I am 5â7ä and weigh about 115 pounds.Ê I was a small A cup before my breast augmentation which took place in August of 1999.Ê I now have a C cup and I am very happy.Ê (Mentor implants-smooth, round, saline 400cc filled to 450cc) I started to think about breast augmentation about a year ago, but wasnât ready to go through with it at that time.Ê I did a lot of research on the internet to make sure that I could gather all the facts possible.
About a year later I started making some calls to set up consultation appointments.Ê I made appointments with four different doctors, I figured the best information would be from the doctors themselves.Ê I also thought it was a good idea to compare what each doctor had to say.Ê
I finally made the decision to have the surgery with Dr. Stephen T. Greenberg in Woodbury, New York.Ê Dr. Greenberg was the last consultation appointment I had. (I waited 1 month to get an appointment) After speaking with Dr. Greenberg on the day of my appointment, I decided he was the best plastic surgeon for me.Ê He and his staff made me feel so comfortable about having breast augmentation.Ê My main concern at that point was _How much pain am I going to be in? Dr. Greenberg explained to me that I would have a little pain for about the first 3 days.Ê When I woke up after my surgery I had a little pain, though it felt like more pressure than pain.Ê I felt like I had a bandage wrapped across my chest very tight.Ê Well, to my surprise, the day after my surgery I felt great. I was sore, but no more than the way a pulled muscle feels.Ê I had surgery on a Thursday and I was able to go to my friendâs engagement party on Sunday. (No dancing of course)Ê I went back to work 5 days after my surgery with no problems.Ê I was ready to get back to my normal routine, but Dr. Greenberg advised me to stay away form the gym for about 4 weeks.Ê About 3 months after my surgery, my breast implants had settled and you couldnât tell I had surgery.Ê I didnât tell anyone besides my family that I was having breast augmentation, and to this day (2 yrs later) I still haven't told anyone that I had it done.Ê This was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
