Dr. Ackerman received his undergraduate degree from The Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1978. He received his Doctorate in Medicine from The Dartmouth Medical School in 1981. Dr. Ackerman went on to do his postgraduate training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and The Ohio State University.

Dr. Ackerman is certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery. Certification by this prestigious board requires extensive training, as well as a vigorous examination process. He is an Active Member of The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, in addition to other societies.

Dr. Ackerman's practice includes an on-site, state-of-the-art outpatient surgery center. His facility is certified by the The American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities.

Dr. Ackerman is highly acclaimed for his expertise and talent in facial rejuvenation surgery, advanced body contouring surgery and breast surgery. He has brought forth improved techniques in facial surgery using endoscopy and laser technology.

Dr. Ackerman has lectured widely in various public forums, and has been featured on TV, as well as in numerous publications.
