Dr. Barnthouse is a plastic surgeon providing cosmetic surgery and reconstructive surgery services to patients in the greater Kansas City and Lees Summit, MO area. In addition to performing breast augmentation, breast implant, and breast reconstruction, he also offers breast lift, breast reduction, male breast reduction, and a variety of other plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery procedures.

Dr. Barnthouse received his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He completed a general surgery residency at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, California, and a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the University of Missouri, Kansas City. He also completed a fellowship in aesthetic (cosmetic) surgery at Mt. Sinai Medial Center in Miami Beach, Florida, and a fellowship in breast surgery at St. Joseph's Hospital and Emory University in Atlanta Georgia.

Dr. Barnthouse is board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Medical Society, the Kansas Medical Society, and the Missouri Medical Society. He is past president of the Kansas City Plastic Surgery Society.
