Dr. Haydon received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 1994, and then served a six year general surgery residency at Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport. He then returned to Texas to complete a two year plastic surgery fellowship at the internationally acclaimed University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Immersed in plastic surgery while working with many of the recognized leaders in the field, he developed a particular interest in cosmetic surgery as well as skin cancer and breast cancer reconstruction. Dr. Haydon continues to be committed to providing cancer patients with aesthetically pleasing reconstructive procedures that contribute to a heightened self-esteem.
Many of Dr. Haydon’s most commonly performed procedures are breast surgeries, including augmentations, lifts and reductions. He employs a special preoperative assessment and detailed measurements in his breast augmentation consultations to determine an ideal implant size, resulting in minimal pain and the ability to return to normal activities the very next day. He utilizes the short scar “lollipop” incisions to minimize unsightly scars and provide a better long term shape for his reductions and lifts. Dr. Haydon has received special accreditation from both Mentor and Inamed to use silicone implants which allow for the most natural look and feel possible for each of his patients.
Dr. Haydon specializes in all facets of cosmetic surgery, including: breast augmentation and reduction, implant removal/exchange, body contouring with liposuction, abdominoplasty, facial rejuvenation with eye lifts, face and neck lifts, and rhinoplasty for nasal reshaping and to improve breathing. He has contributed significant research to the field of plastic surgery, including published papers on breast reshaping and blood loss during liposuction. Dr. Haydon holds memberships in numerous prestigious professional organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the American College of Surgeons.
